An application was submitted to the Scottish Ministers in May 2025 for consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the proposed development. The application documents can be viewed on the website of the Energy Consents Unit of the Scottish Government under application reference ECU00005042. Details are also provided of how to make representations to the Scottish Ministers and South Lanarkshire Council as part of the planning process.
